I recently noticed that the large majority of my closet consists of three colors: blue, black, and grey. They've been my go-to colors for several years now. While I still enjoy these colors I came to realize that my wardrobe was lacking the enthusiasm that a cleverly placed pop of color can lend to an outfit. Check out this wonderful use of color (here), it inspired me to branch out with some bolder pieces in my own wardrobe.

After a hectic week of work, exams, appointments, etc. we finally set aside some time to escape on a day trip to wine country. We spent the afternoon in Napa at one of our favorite places, the Oxbow Public Market, a great place to enjoy unique local and artisan foods. We highly recommend the arepas and sangria from Pica Pica, delicious!

This rain filled weekend was quite welcomed as we've been experiencing a drought here in California.
Class, homework and filing taxes consumed our Saturday so we planned on getting out of the house a bit on Sunday, even if it meant bringing the textbooks along with us. We went out for midmorning coffee and squeezed in some more studying. Afterward we took a stroll in the misty weather and happily stumbled upon the most beautiful and sweetly smelling blossoms. It was a happy reminder that spring is right around the corner!
